Tasi's Gift, A Tale of Samoa
Autographed Copies...limited numbers
We are delighted to report that Tasiʻs Gift, the Tale of a Samoan Bowl, the holiday play based on our latest book and presented by Honolulu Theatre for Youth (HTY), was a rousing success. More than 11,000 children from schools all over the island of Oahu attended, and learned about "giving" as Samoans do. We will be continuing our liason with HTY into the New Year, and are happy to offer autographed books (by both the author and illustrator) as part of our program with them. All copies of Tasi sold through Paypal on this website will be autographed by both the author and illustrator as quantities remain available, with a portion of the sale shared with HTY. And, if you have special requests, or require more than one copy to be mailed to you, please donʻt hesitate to contact us via e-mail or by phone. Contacts are listed below: e-mail for special requests: belknappublishing@mac.com

Wearing a beautiful orchid lei, our Cassowary puppet shows off his book at the 2010 Ka Palapala Po‘okela Book Awards event in Hawaii. When the Cassowary Pooped, A Tale of New Guinea, and its illustrator, Professor Joseph Dodd, won the award for Excellence in Childrenʻs Illustrative or Photographic Books. Weʻre proud of everybody who worked on the book, including the cassowaries of Australia and Papua New Guinea who inspired Dr. Tamara Montgomery to write the story!
